To file an insurance claim for loss or damage, customers must opt for insurance at the time a quote is requested or before the order is processed. Insurance must be paid in order to file a claim against loss or damage. A claim cannot be filed if insurance is not requested and paid for prior to shipment.
Any item in any condition (new or used) can be insured against loss for its full insurable value.
Items packed by USA Pack & Ship can be insured against damage; however items not packed by USA Pack & Ship cannot be insured against damage.
All insurance claims must be reported within 7 days of receipt of the shipment for the claim to be considered and processed.
If a customer's shipment is lost in transit, USA Pack & Ship will issue a refund for the full insured amount.
At the time of delivery, the recipient/consignee should inspect the shipment carefully in the presence of the delivery driver. All damages should be noted on the delivery receipt. Damaged shipments must be accepted by the recipient for a claim to be considered and to avoid additional charges. Additional charges for rejection of a shipment include but are not limited to charges for warehouse storage, redelivery and return shipment. Any damage noted after the time of inspection cannot be verified and will not be considered during the claim process.
If a customer's claim qualifies for processing and the damages are verifiable and valid, USA Pack & Ship will begin a claims process. USA Pack & Ship's claim resolution involves attempting to restore the item to its pre-delivery condition through repair or replacing the item.
The customer or consignee will be required to provide proof of purchase, photos of the damages, delivery receipt and repair estimates.
All shipments must be inspected by the recipient at the time of delivery. All damages, if any, must be noted and communicated to the delivery driver. All shipments must be accepted by the recipient regardless of any damages. Receiving or accepting a shipment does not prevent the recipient or customer from filing a claim. If the recipient is not available at the time of delivery or if for any other reason the recipient refuses the shipment, additional charges will be assessed. The cost of warehouse storage, redelivery and possible return shipment will be charged to the customer.
All charges are subject to weight and dimensions verification. Should the actual weight and/or dimensions exceed the weight and/or dimensions provided by the customer, the charges will be amended and any additional costs will be charged on the original credit card provided by the customer.
